Shall Fabio Capello start looking to the future?

As the current England squad is now ‘getting on a bit’, the majority will probably not make it to the next world cup.  Should Capello start looking to the future now?  There are players such as Joe Hart, Michael Dawson , Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshire who are all playing Premier League football, shall these players get the opportunities now, not just for friendlies but for the big games (Euro qualifiers) and should Capello start culling the older big name disappointments?

Lampards Goal

If Lampard’s goal was given against Germany, do you think England could have gone on to win the game?  Although Germany were the best team throughout the game, For 15 minutes towards the end of the first half England where like a runaway train.  Leading up to and after Upson scored, England where playing like they do in the Premier League, fast flowing football and the Germans could not handle it.  If Lampard’s goal did count then England might  have continued to have the momentum and the Germans would have been deflated having given away a two goal lead.

So here we go again. The last few days since the abject performance against Algeria and the disappointment of the draw against the USA have felt like groundhog days for so many England fans. The Media are having a field day, as they are no doubt in France, Italy and to a lesser extent Germany.

England Manager Fabio Capello is a renowned disciplinarian who rules the players with an iron fist. It is his way or the highway. There are of course Managers who have different Managerial styles and it remains to be seen whether Mr. Capello’s style will bring success to England and the best out of the players. But, in the past there is one Manager who stands out as proving a disciplinarian style did in the main work successfully, the infamous Brian Clough.
