Sir Bobby Robson – Legend!

Gary Lineker, Gazza and Alan Shearer share some magic memories and very funny stories about the football legend that is Sir Bobby Robson.

One of my favourite Sir Bobby stories concerns Bryan Robson, who was Captain of England while Bobby was the England manager. The England team were meeting at an airport to travel to an away game. Bryan Robson was late and looked lost and was some distance away from the rest of the group and Bobby Robson, shouts out loudly “Bobby, over here” .

Bryan Robson ignores him. Bobby again shouts out even louder this time, “Bobby, Bobby, we’re over here”  Finally, Bryan hears him and comes over to the group and says to Sir Bobby Robson “Hello Boss. You Bobby, me Bryan”
